QUBE Recruitment helps organizations to grow by recruiting the right people. QUBE Recruitment helps small and large organizations to make recruitment more successful. After working for more than 7 years as an Agency and Corporate Recruiter, Martijn van Citteren started QUBE Recruitment in October 2021.
assignment:gonzodesign was asked to design and realize a new logo, business card, letterhead and custom-made WordPress website for QUBE Recruitment. The emphasis of the WP website was on a unique design, a clear layout, a fast loading time and an inclusive design for the deaf and visually impaired (WCAG2.1)
implementation:First, a logo was designed and recognizable elements were incorporated into the further corporate identity, which are derived from the logo. The elements keep returning and thus ensure the recognizability and identity of the various media expressions. Below is the design of the front and back of the business cards for QUBE Recruitment, with the slogan printed on the back.
A responsive custom WordPress theme has also been designed and developed for QUBE Recruitment. Due to little time for devising and adding content, the website is now published as a minimum viable product (MVP). An MVP includes the minimal functionalities of a website in order to be viable. Soon more functionalities (including blog and translations) will be added to the existing site.
This responsive WordPress Theme has 1 Custom Page Type for the recruitment solutions that QUBE Recruitment offers. Furthermore, a number of Custom Page templates have been built to be able to dynamically display the recruitment solutions on these pages, among other things.
There is also a Theme Options module (Redux Framework plugin) coded in the backend to e.g. specify in one place the address data and social media channels that can be dynamically displayed on various pages and in the footer. Google Analytics code, Google Maps embed code, etc. can also be entered in the Theme Options. But also to be able to upload images for the different dynamically formatted pages, such as the blog/archive/search index pages and the 404 page.
Each page is also provided with ACF (via Advanced Custom Field plugin) fields in the backend so that the customer can easily enter a title and subtitle in the header of these pages. Furthermore, this WordPress website also uses many widget areas. In these widget areas you can use widgets to add content, functions and other elements to the WordPress sidebar and other (created) widget areas, such as the footer.
By using a (well coded and structured) custom-made WordPress theme, with the built-in Gutenberg editor (and therefore no page builder WP plugins), this website is very fast (see image below). But also because of the built-in widget areas, ACF fields and the Redux Theme option module, this site is 100% FSE (Full Site Editing) so that the client has full control over the posted content.
My homemade gonzocons 2.0 Icon Font (100 Line Icons) is integrated in this website. Much attention has also been paid to the search engine friendliness and performance (including loading time) of the new website.
