PEC Nederland is an experienced and independent engineering firm. PEC Nederland focuses on technical consultancy services, maintenance, energy and project management, inspection and inventory of new construction, renovation and maintenance projects in non-residential construction.
assignment:gonzodesign has been asked to design and realize a new logo, business card, letterhead and a custom-build WordPress theme for PEC Netherlands. The emphasis of the WordPress website was on a unique design, a clear layout, a fast loading time and an inclusive design (Accessibility – WCAG).
The logo was designed first and recognizable elements and colors, which are derived from the logo, were incorporated into the further corporate identity items. These elements keep recurring in the business card, letterhead design and website, and thus ensuring the recognizability and identity of the company.
I also designed and developed a custom WordPress theme from scratch for PEC Netherland. This responsive WordPress theme has 2 extra built-in timelines, one timeline for the services that PEC Netherlands offers. The second timeline is for the completed projects, it has already been created but not ready to be published yet.
There is also a Theme Options module integrated into the backend. Here the client can enter, among other things, their address details and social media channels. In this module there is also the possibility to upload several images (including dynamic header image for e.g. the 404 page), to add Google Maps and other useful things.
Thanks to this custom WordPress theme and by using the built-in Gutenberg editor, this website is super fast and secure (no pagebuilder plugins). Much attention has also been paid to the search engine friendliness, accessibility and user-friendliness (both frontend and backend) of the new website.
Due to the extra built-in widget areas, ACF fields and the Redux Theme option module, the site is 100% FSE (Full Site Editing) so the client has full control over all content in the website. And last but not least .. my homemade gonzocons 2.0 Icon Font (100 Line Icons) is also integrated in this website.
